Solve Hidden Object puzzles in quick succession.

Play either the Timed or the Relaxed mode.

Find out how the confiscated art relates to the legend of the Templars.

Jane Angel: Templar Mystery takes you on a treasure-hunting, puzzle-solving adventure through the suburbs of Los Angeles, California as you seek to connect a recently confiscated contraband piece of art with the popular legend of the Knights of Templar. Travel with Jane across many different locations as she uncovers clues that lead her closer and closer to the answer that will solve the mystery she is facing.

This game is a hardcore Hidden Object title. That’s because that’s what you will be following all along. The story plays out through a series of cut scenes between each location that Jane visits. There are no areas where you look for tools that you add to your inventory, and where you find small puzzles in which you will use the tools that you have found. The game just takes you from one location to another.

This means that you will be facing HO puzzle after HO puzzle when playing Jane Angel: Templar Mystery. What makes it unique is that it features panoramic Hidden Object puzzles – you can scroll the puzzles to access the different parts of the screen. All you have to do is simply press and hold the left mouse button, and then drag it to move the screen.

Because the puzzles are panoramic, some objects in the list might be at one part of the screen only.
You’ll know that by looking at the screen. If the object’s name takes on a grey font when you move the screen, it means that the object is on the other side of the puzzle. That’s a very neat feature that helps you to narrow down the list to only the things that you can find in a specific part of the puzzle.

The game also features a “spot the difference” puzzle. In this kind of puzzle, you are given an image on the left and another one on the right. The left image is the correct image, while the picture in the right has objects that need to be rearranged to follow the other picture. The gameplay is simple – you move items in the picture to their correct positions based on the picture on the left.

As for the cut scenes, these feature a series of hand-drawn images with thought balloons rather than voice dialogue. Sad to say, the cut scenes play out a little too slow, but you can always skip them if you’re not fond of cut scenes and just want to get on with the next puzzle.

Jane Angel: Templar Mystery touches upon a conspiracy theory that’s prevalent in today’s world, so it’s guaranteed to be a hit. Even if you’re not fond of conspiracy theories, the game’s straightforward mechanics should entice you to at least give the game a try. You have 60 minutes, courtesy of Big Fish, to play a trial version until you decide that the game is worth buying, which it definitely is. Jane Angel: Templar Mystery Summary
