Explore an ancient Greece to relive one of the highlights of Greek Mythology - a beautiful tale of romance between a mere mortal and a god (daughter of zeus) in this exciting Hidden Object Adventure. Theron, a modest hunter is deeply in love with the goddess Artemis, and has to prove himself worthy to fight for the love that he finds true between him and the goddess - overcome all obstacles standing in the way to your happiness. To keep them apart, Zeus locked Artemis in Mt. Olympus, whilst Theron vows to free her, with the help of his two close friends.
In the PC-based hidden-object game, published by Big Fish Games, Beyond the Legend: Mysteries of Olympus, time transcends you to take the iconic role of a legend, Theron the hunter and his fight for love of a goddess. And on top of the looming conflict between what is rightful among gods and mortals, the player will also have to succumb in an array of delightfully challenging hidden object scenes with tons of puzzles to solve.
When it comes to game modes, the game primarily offers two different modes for a selection of difficulty for the game. First endows you a Casual mode with glistening sparkles of lead and fast recharging hint and skip buttons – deemed for those simply wanting to go about points of interests and fill on out less-pressured puzzle pieces along the way. Then there is also the Extreme mode, which pertains to have the opposite features, and quite the challenge.
As the game delves on a famed backing plot, investigation and exploration pitches much of the interest to progress in it. It does not enlist top notch quality graphics and are simply mediocre at best, no relative voiceovers (other than an occasional narration between chapters), and a few Achievements to earn, as you scour for items to pick up along the way and divulge the underlying story. The hint icon pertains to assess you with relative objectives rather where to go exactly in the game. Whenever the player picks up an item, they may stash it aside in the inventory and then be used later on.
If there is one thing that is spectacular about it, are the Hidden Object Scenes – a ton of them. The scenes though may be your typical “Listed Item finds” without variations or dynamic interactions in them or the like. But one notable detail in the whole lot of them – is that they don’t pertain to cope up with plausible items to find in the game’s supposed setting and era (finding things like rubber duckies and stuff). Nonetheless, if the puzzles are the reason to keep you in, there is a whole bunch of them here to enjoy about.
The game throws quite a bit of trail period prior to actual purchase so you may take the few minutes time to give it a try to see if it is something you’d purchase for yourself. It is detailed though with tons of scenes and mini games to play with. A seemingly well rounded game that has everything to offer, though may suffer from a pint of roughness and lack of polish.
